The Kimball High School Cheer Team is very sad to announce that we have had to cancel our mini cheer camp for the basketball season. A full refund will be provided and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. The Cheer Team will be at Mary Lynch early next week (1/22-1/26) to personally deliver refunds and the camp t-shirt to each Mini Longhorn Cheerleader who signed up. If there are any questions please contact Carrie Tabor at ctabor@kpslonghorns.org or Meighan Meronde at mmaronde@kpslonghorns.org. Thank you for your understanding and we are truly looking forward to our cheer camp during football season .

Yesterday at ELITE we had cooking club 😋 The kids made Snowman Soup...aka hot chocolate! We had a hard time convincing a few kiddos that insisted they didn't like "soup". Needless to say they were pleasantly surprised 😄

Due to drifting snow on county roads, Kimball Public Schools will operate Mud/Snow routes for the rural bus routes on Friday, January 19. Bus drivers will be in contact with patrons regarding pick up/ drop off locations for students.
The Jr. high boys started the season off with some good basketball. Although we were unable to get a win in Burns, we did some really good things. The A team just ran out of gas in overtime, but great effort by all the boys! Next game in Morril on Thursday! #longhornpride

Longhorns Weekly update. Here is what we have coming up this week.... remember you can go to our Rschool calendar for the most up to date information.

Due to the extreme cold, Kimball Public Schools will have NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 15. Also, Kimball Public Schools will have a 10:00 AM late start on Tuesday, January 16. PreK sessions will run from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM and 1:15 PM - 3:15 PM on Tuesday, January 16 and buses will run accordingly. Activities Director, Darrell Howitt, will be sending out information regarding activites scheduled for the upcoming days.
What an atmosphere last night as our Kimball Longhorn team took on a very tough and scrappy team from Bridgeport. The night started with our seniors and their parents being honored before the boy’s contest and we cannot say enough wonderful things about our senior contributors and their parents who have given our team much support throughout the years. Wyatt Cords, Landon Norberg, Brandon Paxton, and Matias Sokac have all worked really hard to make themselves and their teammates better and all of their contributions to our Boys Basketball Program will be cherished for years to come!! Another one of our seniors who has made great contributions to this team and program throughout her 4 years is Katie Kilgore. Her role as a student manager does not always get noticed by outside supporters but internally we all know just how much value she brings and cannot thank her enough for her willingness to do those tedious tasks that enhances all of our experiences within the program.
As far as the game goes, AMAZING!! All of our players made an effort to do whatever was asked of them and gave everything they had when their number was called. It was a total team effort, from the players on the court to their teammates cheering them on from the sidelines. Anytime you can come out victorious versus a program that have been tough for so many years, it takes the whole team effort and a togetherness that only can be described as special!

2nd Grade at the Pep Rally yesterday.
