Here is what we have coming up this week: Our winter season is coming to a close as we see Girls Basketball in Subdistrict play and our wrestlers and cheerleaders will be competing in their state championships. Good luck Longhorns!!

Cody Brinkman falls short by a 10-5 decision in a hard fought battle in the Heartbreak round bringing Cody's season to a close.

Cameron McGinnis gets a solid 11-1 decision in the Heartbreak round to secure a trip to Omaha. He will wrestle one more match today for the District 3rd or 4th place Medal.

Mary Lynch Elementary has decided to hold a Read-a-thon this year!
Read-a-thons get your reader excited about reading and it allows friends and family to encourage your child to read even more.
Our Read-a-thon starts Friday, March 1, 2024.
About one week before our Read-a-thon starts we will send home instructions on how to activate your reader's personal page. This is where you will be able to view and record their progress.
We've chosen Read-a-thon because it will not take much of your time, gives your child a reason to read, and helps in the development of stronger reading skills.
We hope everyone participates.

Today's (2-10-24) varsity basketball games against Minatare have been cancelled due to the inclement weather. These games will not be rescheduled.
It was a great night in Longhorn Country!!
The boys and girls both got wins over Hemingford. The 5th and 6th grade put on a awesome half time performance. 104.3 gave out some serious cash and we had a great turn out for our SOUPer Bowl cook off with the Booster Club / Helps team bringing home first place with a delicious chicken tortilla soup and the the admin team secured the best dressed booth!!

JH Boys Basketball played hard against a visiting Sidney team but came up short on all three levels (a,b,c). The will be back in action Tuesday here at home against Pine Bluffs starting at 4pm






Girls Subdistrict Play. The Lady Longhorns will be in Morrill playing against South Platte on Tuesday 2/13/24 at 6:30pm in the first round of D1-12 Subdistricts

Kimball Public Schools will dismiss students at regularly scheduled times today as the law enforcement situation in the city of Kimball has been resolved per Kimball County law enforcement officials.
Due to an ongoing law enforcement situation in the city of Kimball, Kimball Public Schools will have NO open campus lunch for students at the Junior/ Senior High School. In addition, extra precautions are in place at district facilities until this law enforcement situation is resolved.
The Kimball NHS Chapter and Anatomy & Physiology students are organizing a blood drive scheduled for April 9 in the Main Gym at the Junior/ Senior High School.
