The Morrill Early Bird Invite was packed with excitement as all of our high school track athletes hit the ground running—literally! The boys’ 100m sprint was a major highlight, with all three qualifying for finals from the prelims and Jacob Wendt racing his way to victory. In the field events, Derek Russell was unstoppable, dominating both the shot put and discus. The boys’ pole vaulters took the top two spots in an impressive 1-2 finish. The 3 boys in the mile all brought home medals.
The momentum didn’t stop there! Faith Bohac and Kylie Wendt blazed their way into the 200m finals, while Emmaline Tabor sprinted her way into the 100m finals. The triple jump was another big win, with Charlotte Bremer, Faith Bohac, and Clarika Hottell all bringing home medals. It was a day full of incredible performances, and our athletes left it all on the track and in the field. Rachel Berger and Charlotte Bremer both brought home hardware in the 400.
For a full breakdown of results, check out athletic.net or keep an eye on the Observer for more coverage. Great job, team! Photo Credits to Jess Miller.

Last week, three JAG students had the opportunity to attend Legislative Days in Lincoln, NE. They got the chance to see the Capitol building, talk and meet our district senator, Brian Hardin, and listen to a bit of a legislative session. All students agreed that the Capitol building is absolutely beautiful and thought the experience was very enjoyable and memorable!
