Our school has been using Closegap last year as part of our support for student mental health and well-being. Closegap is a fun, digital check-in tool that helps students share how they are feeling so that only the counselor, administration, or classroom data team can see and respond.
✅ What’s new this year is not the program—the only change is that a new Nebraska state law now requires schools to collect parent consent for all mental health surveys.
Closegap helps us ensure that every student has the best chance for a successful school experience. It’s a simple way to connect students with the right support when they need it most.

Today at Friday ELITE, we enjoyed playing outside in the cool weather, using bubbles and sidewalk chalk.
Then we made Painted Toast! We used colored milk to paint our bread before toasting it. 😋

BIG improvements made by the Lady Longhorn Volleyball Team! The young ladies put up a great effort against a talented Alliance and Morrill squad. You won't want to miss catching this team in action this year! They begin their season next Thursday with a triangular in Hemingford! #LonghornPride
🎉 Today at Mary Lynch Elementary, we officially rolled out our new Longhorn P.R.I.D.E. PBIS initiative during our end-of-the-week assembly! 🐂✨
The whole school came together to learn and practice the Longhorn P.R.I.D.E. Pledge, and our students did an amazing job working together to get it down! 🙌
Afterward, students participated in our expectation rotation, learning what it looks like to show Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Discipline, and Empathy all around our school. 💪👏

All paperwork is online in your Infinite Campus parent portal. Jr-Sr High parents your forms are under the 3 bars on the left hand side and click documents. There are 3 forms to fill out. If you have more than one student you must fill them out for each kiddo. If you have questions please call the high school and Brittany should be able to help you. All Jr-Sr High students also have 2 forms to fill out. They are in the same location on their personal Infinite campus accounts. Here is to another great school year!
