One of our favorite activities each year is the 10th Caller Game! When the announcement goes out, the classroom that calls in 10th wins a special treat—donuts! Today, we held the game during WIN Time while ranches were busy finalizing their tree decorating plans, and Callow Cattle took the win! Thank you to Mr. Shoup for coming and discussing your service with us! We appreciate you! 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙

3rd grade celebrated World Kindness Day today! We also were lucky enough to have Matt Shoup come and talk about his experience in the military! Thank you Mr Shoup! ❤️🌎 #LonghornPride

Sixth grade art students are finishing up a unit about line. They drew their initials using American Sign Language and to add some color and contrast they painted a background using watercolors. Here are some of the finished projects this far. I can't wait to see the rest.

A special day when you have one of your very own come to talk about being a veteran! Thank you, Mr. Shoup, for your service to our country and now for the impact you are having on students and staff at KPS! 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙

Our gardening students are taking care of their plants in the greenhouse! #LonghornPride

Kimball’s two Fortnite E-Sport teams participated in Scottsbluff second annual E-Sport tournament this past Saturday where we played against other local teams.
Team one, that included Abdiel Flores and Gio Sanchez brought us home a trophy with an undefeated run and first place win beating Scottsbluff in the finals.
Team two that had as participants Brayden Fuss, Parker Deboodt & Landon Nunley also did exceptionally well and ending up with a third place finish.

The Longhorns junior high girls basketball team have their home opener today against Pine Bluffs. They hit the road tomorrow to Mitchell and then are home again on Thursday hosting Gering. Good luck Ladies!!!

Happy Veteran's Day from 3rd Grade!! Thank you to our Veterans!

Dear Veterans, 🇺🇸
Thank you!
Love, Kindergarten ❤️

To the Veterans everywhere, first grade thanks you! ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸

Don't forget about our Veterans Day Program at 10am today in the High School Auditorium. Following the program Veterans and their families are invited to enjoy a Turkey dinner at the High School. The Elementary Kindergarten through 3rd grade will then sing around their Flag pole at 1:30pm for the Veterans. All are welcome to attend the programs

As a reminder, Kimball Public Schools will have no ELITE program nor Food Services offerings at Mary Lynch Elementary school on Friday, November 15. This is due to November 15 being a professional inservice day for KPS staff.

Due to poor weather conditions. Kimball will not attend the One Act competition in Ogallala tomorrow (11/9).

Today at Friday ELITE, we had some fun with Directed Drawings. The kids drew a raccoon using chalk and an axolotl squishmallow using crayons. 🦝🖍

Today at Friday ELITE the kids had a turkey lesson from Amanda Filipi from the Wildcat Hills Nature Center. Then they made turkey traps! 🦃

The 7th-12th grade students who earned The Longhorn Way this quarter had a great time today at the Cheyenne Ice Center for ice skating, laser tag and bumper cars!

Today at ELITE, we started a new program called Nebraska Extension Marathon Kids. Ashley Fenning/Neb. Extension came to tell us about the program and how it encourages kids to engage in regular physical activity through running. The kids worked hard and had fun.
