🎉 UCA Cheer Camp 2025 = COMPLETE! 🎉 Our cheerleaders just wrapped up their final day at UCA Cheer Camp—and WOW, what a way to kick off the season! Thanks to the generous support of the Red and White Fundraiser and our amazing Kimball community, this unforgettable camp experience was made possible. And our team made the absolute most of every moment! 🍌 Day 1: Took home the Top Banana Award, setting the stage for a strong, spirited week! 🏅 Day 2: Earned a Gold Ribbon for their Spirit Routine during team evaluations ✈️ Day 3: Took off in style as Flight Attendants for Spirit Night—ready to soar into the season! 💙 Also earned a Blue Ribbon for their Camp Routine 🌟 Pin It Forward Award: Emmaline Tabor 🇺🇸 All-American Honors: Faith Bohac, Charlotte Bremer & Emmaline Tabor — one of UCA’s highest individual recognitions! 🎊 Final Day – Spirit Championships:

We had a great turn out of Future Lady Longhorn volleyball players! They worked hard, had a lot of laughs, and worked on their fundamentals.

It's JULY and Longhorn Football season is only a few weeks away. We will be having High School Team workouts/7on7/Skills and Drills on Tuesdays and Thursdays through July. 6pm at the High School. "The will to prepare is the will to succeed"

Day 1 at UCA Cheer Camp = SUCCESS!

Fresh off the energy of the All-Class Reunion, our team came in with energy, spirit, and drive — and it SHOWED! From sharp motions to solid stunts and sky high jumps, they gave it 110% all day long. Our cheerleaders set the intention to be the best they could be, and they executed! Their hard work paid off because tonight they WON THE BANANA! More than just a silly inflatable, the banana represents the top spirit award given to the top team of each day of camp. That’s right — the ultimate spirit award went to OUR squad today, and we couldn’t be prouder! It’s not just about skills; it’s about leadership, teamwork, and showing up for each other — and this crew delivered. Big love to our rookies for diving right in and to our vets for leading with heart. The bond is building, the cheer is loud, and this is only day one! Keep watching, because KHS Cheer is just getting started!

Tomorrow's our youth volleyball camp! It will be on Monday and Tuesday from 1:00-3:30pm at the high school practice gym. If you haven't signed up yet, you can come Monday at 12:45 to sign the paper (I may just not have a shirt available). See you tomorrow!!!

REMINDER: KPS will not be serving meals (breakfast and lunch) at Mary Lynch Elementary on July 3 and July 4 (Thursday and Friday) this week. KPS will be serving breakfast Monday through Friday 8:00-9:00 and lunch 11:30-12:30 starting again on July 7 for the remainder of the summer.

A great summer comes to a conclusion as the Longhorns go 2-0 in Scottsbluff to wrap up the summer slate! The JV and Varsity put in a lot of time and effort this month as they look to improve next season! Great summer fellas! #LonghornPride

We had a great last day for ELITE Summer Program! A BIG thank you to the Friends of the Goodhand Theater for letting us come watch a movie 🤗 and a special thank you to the anonymous donor for purchasing the popcorn and soda for us today! 🍿🥰

Summer meal will continue through the month of July. Come join us at Mary Lynch. All children 18 and under eat for free.

ELITE Summer Program activity today: Windchimes/Suncatchers! 🤗

Today at ELITE Summer Program, we walked to the high school and enjoyed a great magic show for the last Summer Reading Program activity.

Today at ELITE Summer Program, we made Pool Noodle Buddies! Phew, this was definitely a project that required patience and perseverance! We ended up with some pretty cool buddies! * This project took much longer than expected. We will finish up tomorrow!

The girls golf season is going to be epic! These girls are putting in the time to improve before season starts

Today at ELITE Summer Program, we went to the park with Ashley Fenning from the Marathon Kids program. The kids played zombie tag, then learned about the importance of staying hydrated.

Kimball Public Schools sophomore Andrew Hawthorne and 2025 graduate Renee Murdoch are touring Europe with 200 other Nebraska Ambassadors of Music. They have performed in London, Paris, and Crans-Montana, Switzerland. Yet to come are performances in Austria and Germany. Renee is performing in the band, while Andrew is performing in both the band and choir. Their most recent concerts (from last evening in Crans-Montana), as well as highlights of their tour can be viewed on Facebook on the Nebraska Ambassadors of Music page. We are so proud of these two as they represent Kimball, Nebraska, and America abroad with their musical talents! #LonghornPride

The ELITE Summer program kids enjoyed running in the sprinklers today! The cold water definitely helped cool everyone off on this very hot day! 🥵

This morning at ELITE Summer Program, we decided to stay inside and play with Legos and Magna tiles! *Then we decided it was a great opportunity to sanitize the Legos! 🤗😂
