The Kimball FFA kids attended the National Western Stock Show in Denver on Wednesday, January 15th. They spent the day looking at booths, lives stock, enjoying some meals and then attending the PBR Finals. It was a long and fun day. Today 3 of those FFA kids are doing interviews in Alliance as part of their state degree applications.

Big W for the Longhorn boys basketball team as they knock off Bridgeport 52-50 to advance to the semifinals of the SPVA conference tournament! A HUGE assist to all of the fans who packed the Arena to support the team! The boys will be in action again on Friday at 4:00 PM at the college in North Platte against the Irish from St. Pats as they look to punch a ticket to the title game! #LonghornPride

Due to the forecast extreme cold, Kimball Public Schools will have a 10:00 AM late start on Monday, January 20 and on Tuesday, January 21. PreK sessions will run from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM and 1:15 PM - 3:15 PM and buses will run accordingly. Stay warm and stay safe.
Last Wednesday, a few JAG students had the opportunity to take a campus tour of Chadron State College. Students got a general information session from admissions, got an overview of student activities on campus, took a fun visit to the planetarium, ate lunch in the college cafeteria, and then got a tour of the campus.
2025 Winter Mini Cheer Camp was a huge success! The High School Cheerleaders want to thank all the participants and everyone who came out to support them! It was an incredible camp and an amazing performance!
Kimball High School Lady Longhorn wrestlers competed in Gering today. They all did a great job with Rachel earning a championship medal and Noley earning a silver medal. Congratulations girls!
JH Lady Longhorn wrestlers competed in their first tournament today in Gering. We came home with one first place medal, three second place medals, three third place medals and one fourth place finish. Way to go girls!!! Keep up the hard work!
