Having a great time with the students who qualified for The Longhorn Way in the 3rd quarter. Roller skating, laser tag and put-put golf! We even had a few get a hole-in-one!

We are so proud of the high school athletes who competed at Best in the West last night. It is quite the accomplishment to get the invitation to compete at this event. Trevor Fuss set a new school record and personal record going 14' 6" to secure first in the pole vault. Peter Russell went 13' 6" to earn 2nd. Derek Russell threw a knew personal best in the discus to come in 4th with a throw of 137' 11". He threw 44' 8.5" in the shot put. He was the only freshman to compete in the boys' shot or discus. Wyatt Cords competed in the discus. However, he didn't have the afternoon he wanted. Braxton Miller ran 6th in the 1600 with a new personal best of 5:01. The 4x400 team of Jacob Wendt, Trevor Fuss, Braxton Miller, and Noe Tevino didn't run as well as we had hoped, but still ran well. Addy Olson jumped 32' 11" in triple jump to earn 3rd. She cleared 4' 10" in the high jump to earn 6th. Rachel Berger cleared 8'0" in the pole vault. Way to represent Kimball well!

Due to the change in schedule for both high school golf and track, Friday will be a regular school day for all students at the Jr/Sr High School, rather than the academic intervention day that was planned.

It was a great day at Best of the West! We had 16 JH athletes compete, with a lot of PR's. JaLeigh broke the meet record with a throw of 105'5" in discus!

Happy Earth Day! 🌎 Kindergarten thought it was pretty cool to paint an Earth with a balloon! We compared ways of hurting vs. helping the Earth and all agreed that we need to do our best to take care of our Earth! ♻️🌳💚

When one track meet gets canceled you call your neighbors to the west and see if you can come to theirs. Our track athletes were in action at the Kendra Roeder Invite at Pine Bluffs yesterday. It may of been a little chilly but they all showed up and gave it their best effort. On the boys side of things Noe Trevino placed 2nd and Greg Bingham 6th in the 100. Greg was also 5th in the 200. Jacob Wendt was 2nd in the 400. Braylon Miller was 2nd in the 800. Braxton Miller was 1st in the 1600 with Conrad Kaminski coming in 4th. Conrad was also 3rd in the 3200. Trenton Hottell was 3rd in the 110 M Hurdles with Peter Russell 5th and Kip Gillming 6th. Derek Kauffman was 3rd in the 300 Hurdles with Trenton 5th. The 4x100 was 2nd consisting of Noe, Derek Russell, Greg, and Trevor Fuss. Derek was 4th in the shot put and discus. Braxton was 2nd in the High Jump and Triple Jump. Peter was first in Pole Vault followed by Trevor in 2nd. Trevor was 2nd in Long Jump and Greg 3rd. In the girls division Julia Winstrom was 4th in the 100. Faith Bohac was 6th in the 200. Rachel Berger 4th in the 400. Shannen Acheson was 1st in the 1600 and 5th in the 800. Hannah Kilgore 3rd in the 100 Hurdles. The 4x100 relay was 3rd consisting of Rachel, Clarika Hottell, Emma Novotny, and Julia. Addy Olson was 1st in the High Jump with Katie Kilgore 5th. Rachel was 2nd in the Pole Vault followed by Clarika in 3rd and Shannen in 6th. Julia was 2nd in Long Jump followed by Kylie Wendt in 3rd. Addy was 2nd in Triple Jump. We even had quite a few PRs. We weren't able to take all those pictures today as we didn't have the results until later. Way to go kids!

We wrapped up an AMAZING assembly this morning with NED's Mindset Mission, and it was a blast! Our students were fully engaged in the fun and interactive performance, all about Never giving up, Encouraging others, and Doing our best! But the excitement doesn't stop there! Next week, we'll be hosting yo-yo sales to pay-it-forward to the next school. So if you get a moment, be sure to ask your Longhorn about the fantastic experience they had! Let's keep the positive vibes going!
