Some of our fourth graders are working on a novel study. We took some time out to create a yarn doll similar to one that was mentioned in our book. We had to work together and follow directions without seeing the picture until the end. It was quite an experience!

This was a first for us! The 7th grade English classes partnered up with Kimball Public Library to have a community reading focusing on Kate DiCamillo's novel 'Because of Winn Dixie'. In a month the class read the book, studied the characters and plot closely, and tried a paper maché project. Personally, I am so proud of this class's efforts and for all who were able to come out tonight to share the love of reading and community. This is only the beginning to a wonderful experience and partnership. THANK YOU 7th grade, community members, and Kimball Community Library!

Ms. Julie's group at ELITE has been enjoying working with Mr. Mohr and Patrick, playing D&D. They have been building their own characters and developing important skills while playing the game, such as teamwork, critical thinking, problem solving, and communication.

As a reminder, according to school policy, students are prohibited from bringing any medication to school. Medications must be delivered to the office by an adult, accompanied by the necessary documentation. This policy also applies to cough drops. The district supplies cough drops, Tylenol, and ibuprofen, which the nurse can administer provided that the appropriate paperwork was completed at the start of the academic year. If any medication is sent to school, it will be confiscated and returned to you without being administered. We appreciate your understanding regarding this matter. Should you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your child's office or the school nurse.
