Today was about grit, growth, and heart. These girls gave everything they had, and even though no one qualified for state this year, we couldn’t be prouder of the athletes and people they’re becoming. Proud to be their coaches.

Today at Friday ELITE we enjoyed lots of outside time in the sun! 🌞 We also made yummy homemade heart shaped poptarts! ❤️😋

These English 12 ladies created a stained glass window for Carfax Abbey (each student developed & contributed 3 panes), while other classmates played the Chapter 18 Vampires vs Hunters Demonstration of Knowledge Game.

First grade took a huge jump today by taking their Unit 5 test online! They did such a great job and gave their best effort! ➕➖🤘

Today at ELITE we enjoyed a visit from the Kimball Health Services EMT department! The kids learned about some of the things an EMT does at their job, and they got to explore the ambulance. 🚑

Even small book clubs make great memories! S.E. Hinton's THE OUTSIDERS is about tragedy, friendship and camaraderie, and reaching for hope in hopeless situations. Tonight's conversation was completely organic. It was laughs, glass-bottle pop, and insight and criticisms of past and present years. The students who attended provided a bit of this insight and were unafraid to give their input. These are special conversations between community members and students. Keep reading, and keep asking questions! Discourse an important key to how we all move forward as neighbors.

These Kimball Jr. High band and choir students had an awesome day today in Bridgeport at the SPVA Music Clinic. They worked hard in rehearsals, made some new friends, and were part of an excellent band and choir concert. #LonghornPride
