📣 Welcome Back, Mary Lynch Longhorn Families! 🐂
We’re excited to kick off the second semester with all of you! As we settle back in, here are a few reminders and updates to help us have a smooth and successful start:
🌟 Building Hours: Please remember that the building does not open until 7:30 AM. If students are dropped off before this time, they will be unsupervised.
❄️ Cold Weather Reminder: The temperatures are dropping, and many students are coming to school without proper attire. Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. If they wear snow boots, make sure they also bring a pair of regular shoes for indoor comfort and to help keep classrooms clean and dry.
🚗 Drop-Off & Pick-Up Courtesy:
✅ Drop-Off Only Zone: When pulling into the circle drive, please pull all the way past the bend to allow multiple cars to enter and keep traffic flowing smoothly. Stopping early causes backups and slows the process for everyone.
✅ Park if Needed: If you need to walk your child inside, please park on the street to keep the circle drive open for drop-offs only.
✅ Be Ready: Have backpacks and belongings ready to go so students can exit quickly and safely.
✅ Stay Alert: Watch for other students and follow speed limits in our school zone.
Thank you for being mindful of others as we navigate these busy times together!
🏆 2nd Quarter Awards Ceremony:
When: This Friday (YES, WE HAVE SCHOOL THIS FRIDAY!)
Kindergarten - 3rd Grade: 2:15 PM
4th - 6th Grade: 3:00 PM
Details: If your student is receiving an award, their homeroom teacher will contact you so you can make arrangements to attend.
Let’s make this semester one to remember! We can’t wait to see all the amazing things our students will achieve. 🧡 #LonghornPride
