Today was the "Nebraska Champions Meet" for Jr High Track. We were happy to have 2 students selected to participate. JaLeigh Bohac was selected to throw Discus and Brayden Fuss participated in Pole Vault.
Brayden Vaulted well but sadly came up short of medaling.
JaLeigh had a phenomenal first throw of 111' 5". This throw not only broke the previous 8th grade record by 6 feet, but also catapulted her to first place and a state championship! The previous record was set by Laurie Schadegg in 1972. Congratulations to JaLeigh on breaking this record and to Laurie for having a record that stood for 52 years!
JaLeigh and Brayden, we're proud of both of you for representing Kimball so well!

We want to thank Clean Harbors and the City of Kimball for helping us celebrate our graduates! Clean Harbors, thank you for generously donating the banners, and the City of Kimball, thank you for hanging them on the downtown lamp posts. Congratulations Seniors on your big day today! The graduation ceremony begins at 11 am this morning in the main gym of the Kimball Jr/Sr High School.
