KPS Art Show
Join us March 24th and 25th at the Kimball Junior Senior High School for a Kindergarten thru 12th grade art show, 4:30-7:30.
On Tuesday starting at 5:00 come watch performances from the Kimball One Act and Speech Teams. The Speech Team will be heading to compete in state competition Wednesday, please come and wish them good luck.
ELITE activity today was Student Choice. There were plenty of fun things to choose from!

I am a little late posting this as I was waiting to receive results from the competition, but since I don't know that I'm going to get results any time soon, I decided it was time. Rachel Koski attended the State Career Development Conference (CDC) on February 27th and represented our JAG class and KPS so well. She participated in the Employability Skills Competition where she first had to develop a resume and cover letter related to a specific job and then at the CDC she participated in a seven-minute interview with a panel of three interviewers (judges) who asked questions about the "job" she was applying for. She didn't place top three, but came out with confidence and a smile on her face. Good job Rachel!
18 Kimball students were selected to the WTC Honor Band which was held in Hemingford today. These kids worked hard and represented our school exceptionally well. #LonghornPride.

Congrats to our Rock-Paper-Scissors contest winner, James! He fought his way to the end and earned himself a gift card from Vince's Corner!
✨Kimball FFA is Celebrating NATIONAL AG DAY today! ✨ Thank you, Kimball Banner County Farm Bureau Board for the awesome shirts! Agriculture is a very important foundation for all these kids! Celebrate Ag today! 🌱
****Art Show Date Change***
We have Speech Students heading to state, Yeah!!! Because of this exciting news the Art Show dates will change so that Mr. Jefferis can help coach and support the state bound speakers. The Art Show will now be Monday March 24th and Tuesday March 25th from 4:30 to 7:30. Please come and view the wonderful works of art crated by KPS students this year.
This will also allow the Speech students to give their speeches here in Kimball before they head to state. Please join us at the Kimball Junior Senior High School Auditorium Tuesday March 25th at 5:00 p.m. to hear Mallory, Conrad, Carly, Skyla, Wyatt, and Eddie perform their speeches and to wish them luck at state. You will also get to enjoy a very entertaining One Act Performance the same day.
Today at ELITE, the kids did a rainbow shaving cream cloud science experiment. 🌈
Kimball did amazing today at District Speech!! For the first time in awhile we have a good group going to compete at State Speech. Today we had two district champions, Conrad Kaminski got 1st in Humourous and Mallory Hottell got 1st in Persuasive!! Our Poetry group is going to state as well, Carly Norberg got 2nd and Skyla Steirwalt got 3rd. Our OID group of Mallory Hottell, Eddie Duran, Wyatt Cook, Carly Norberg and Conrad Kaminski got 3rd and are going to state. Skyla Steirwalt and Rachel Koski placed 6th in Duet Acting and Skyla Steirwalt placed 6th in Serious!!
It was too windy to go outside today at ELITE, so we did Gonoodle!
Today at Friday ELITE, we made yummy cereal bar treats using fruit loops, pretzels, and marshmallows. 😋
Today at Friday ELITE, we made bird houses/feeders out of coffee creamer bottles. They turned out really well!
Today at ELITE, Ashley Fenning, with the Marathon Kids program, brought certificates and prizes for our friends who completed the February Heart Health challenge and reached 5/10/20 miles! Then they ran laps and played games outside! *Our program has reached the 500-mile club!
Kimball Public Schools is excited to announce that we will be partnering with Under Armour and BSN sports for our uniform and apparel needs going forward. You will notice team-specific stores open throughout the school year that will allow you to purchase KPS items and our athletic uniforms will be transitioning to Under Armour over the next few years as well. #LonghornPride

Today at ELITE we took advantage of the beautiful afternoon and played outside! The kids enjoyed drawing with sidewalk chalk. 🤗
✨The Kimball FFA was invited to Pine Bluffs today to compete in a State Practice contest for Ag Mechanics and Ag Sales! ✨
Despite both contests being ran differently than in Nebraska, we did well!
✅Ag Sales Received first place! Carly Norberg was the 1st place individual and Westen Hottell was 3rd place individual! Would like to give a shout out to Jade O'Rourke and Tradin Hottell who make up the rest of the team! Great work ag sales!
🔨The Ag Mechanics team was made up of Tig Woolington, Nolan Cook, Lane Cook and Bryce Eggli. The team received 4th place!
🤑But the best part of the day - we won 98.7 The Big Boys $1000 minute on the way to the contest! It was a group effort but we will give Nolan and Carly most of the credit!
